Can DRI really have an impact on Crop Yields?
The answer is a ‘BIG’ yes! DRI allows growers to achieve ‘precision’ and ‘consistent’ water and nutrient management. This in turn has a major impact on any plant’s response and the result of plants that get what they need when they need it, is higher yields, and better accelerated growth.
Wine grape growers have discovered the ability to control exact quantities of water and nutrients delivered to every single vine. As vineyard managers are able to determine the perfect scenario for growing perfect wine grapes, they are able to use DRI to replicate this perfect formula, throughout their entire vineyard for consistent quality of fruit set. This results from a continuous availability of water and nutrients to the vine, while maintaining just the right amount of stress to promote the desired plant response. DRI helps them achieve this in a more economical and sustainable way, while giving the grower maximum control over plant response.
The photo above are Cabernet vines in a very famous winery located in St. Helena, California. These vines have been exclusively irrigated with DRI since their planting and are only 2 years old! Notice the exceptional fruit set and the quality of the wood structure. Note the DRI unit running alongside the trunk.
Interesting fact: The U.S. Department of Agriculture indicates “that healthy plants are able to grow and produce in the face of environmental stress, pests and competition” and that healthy plants are vital to sustainable and profitable crop production”. ....... That’s DRI Technology!
Imagine the impact on on your bottom line!
