How does DRI reduce costs of Crop Maintenance?

Feedback from growers using DRI has brought up many other benefits besides water savings, great plant response and efficient nutrient management. Many growers have reported an incredible reduction in the need for weed abatement and pest control. With the use of DRI, water and nutrients are delivered directly to the root zone.  When you eliminate surface watering, you reduce the accumulation of moisture that stimulates the growth of fungus and weeds, which means, you also reduce food and water sources that attract insects and other pests.

Another DRI benefit that growers like to talk about is their increased accessibility to their orchards and groves throughout the growing season. In areas that have switched to DRI application from the use of sprinklers, flood irrigation and fan jets, the ground surface of these orchards remains dry. This means that farm crews can drive and walk their rows at any time without getting stuck in the mud or creating wheel ruts in the soil from irrigation water. All this in turn helps keep the maintenance costs down and at the end of the day provides more profit to the farmer….. and profitable farmers are happy farmers.

Interesting fact: California growers are indicating that in areas where they have implemented DRI, the gophers have almost no attraction to these planted areas because of the lack of foliage ground cover and no more standing water........ That’s DRI Technology!

Imagine the impact on on your bottom line!
